The film revolves around the wedding of Julia Chester-Barratt (Hazel Court) and Frank Moody (Robert Flemyng) and tells the story behind the bride's dress, veil, pearls and flowers which were all acquired in London's Bond Street.
The film relates how, unbeknownst to the happy bride, the lives of several humble people in the backrooms of Bond Street's fashionable shops are affected by her wedding plans.
