Hepburn is Lady Cynthia Darrington, a high-spirited Amelia Earhart aviatrix-type who is so busy piloting that she has no time for men and is still a virgin. In a 1930s "cute-meet" she is introduced to Colin Clive, a happily married man who has never cheated on his wife. His life has been deeply colored by his political career and he has had no time for dallying, not that he'd want to. Then he meets Hepburn and the die is cast. Passion flames across the screen, and they are inextricably drawn to each other. They both know it's wrong and that many lives will be affected, but they can't stop their magnetism...
