Cooper Battersby (b. 1971, British Columbia) and Emily Vey Duke (b. 1972, Nova Scotia) have been working collaboratively since 1994. They work in a range of materials including print, installation, curation and sound but their primary practice is the production of single-channel videos. Their work has been exhibited many prominent galleries and festivals, including the Walker Center (Minneapolis), the Banff Centre (Banff), the Vancouver Art Gallery (Vancouver), the YYZ (Toronto), the New York Video Festival (New York) and the European Media Arts Festival (Osnabruck). Their videos have been internationally acclaimed and have received awards from film festivals in Switzerland, Germany and the USA.
