Ginger e Fred / Ginger and Fred (1986) DVD5 + DVD9
Amelia (Masina) and Pippo (Mastoianni) wowed the world with their impersonation of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers nearly forty years ago. Ginger has been retired from showbiz some twenty odd years and has not seen her dance partner for ages. They both return separately to a decaying and vulgarized Rome during Christmas time at the invite of a popular TV program, "We Are Proud to Present", to reprise their ballroom dance act.
Curiosity, a trip to Rome, a modest paycheck and a chance for one last spin in the spotlight convince them to come together for the reunion show, their first public appearance together in decades, and the first time they will have seen one another in years...

There is nothing in the extra features relating specifically to Ginger and Fred. Two episodes are included from the 2003 Italian television series La Felliniana.

La Felliniana: Epilogo - "Passarella Finale" (29:50) has the various contributors, friends and crew who worked with Fellini choose their favourite scene from his films. Fellini’s own choice is from Amarcord.

La Felliniana: Chapter 8 - "Silenzio" (32:41) rather hurriedly skips through Fellini’s later films from I Clowns through to La Voce della Luna, with brief anecdotes about each and some behind the scenes footage of the director, leading up to Fellini’s death in 1993, not long after receiving his 5th Academy Award Oscar.

Marcello Mastroianni: A Self Portrait (1:31:55) is actually the feature documentary by Anna Maria Tato Marcello Mastroianni: Mi Ricordo, Si Io Mi Ricordo ("I Remember, Yes, I Remember") – a beautifully made film, photographed by Giuseppe Rotunno, shot in Portugal during the filming of Manoel di Oliviera’s Voyage To The Beginning Of The World, featuring Mastroianni reflecting on his life as an actor. The film was made in 1996 and Mastroianni would die 2 months after the scene at the end here, showing the actor celebrating his 72nd birthday.
