Hafners Paradies / El paraiso de Hafner / Hafner's Paradise (2007) DVD9
An in-depth portrait of an 83-year-old ex-S.S. officer, Paul Hafner, who moved to Madrid under Franco in 1945, still lives comfortably in Spain, and has no moral qualms about his Nazi past, which he openly defends with an attempt at charm.
The documentary introduces the viewer into Hafner's world, in which he considers Hitler "the most important figure in the history of mankind." Hafner is also directly confronted with a survivor of the Dachau concentration camp who in his eyes "survived very well", after all he is "still alive, aged 85".
