The Female – La Femme et le Pantin, released in the United Kingdom as A Woman Like Satan, is a 1959 French-Italian drama film directed by Julien Duvivier. It is the third adaptation of the novel La Femme et le pantin by Pierre Louys. The shooting in Sevilla during the Seville Fair became a hardship because of the heat.

During the traditional Seville Fair, the young Eva (Brigitte Bardot) dances the fandango, and catches the eye of the rich and arrogant Matteo Diaz (Antonio Vilar), a breeder of bulls, a man no woman can resist. Aware of his seductive powers, Eva continues to fend Matteo off, hurting his self-esteem. Imprisoned by his desire for her, Matteo abandons his wife and tries everything he possibly can to capture Eva's heart.
