Things don’t look good for Adrien, a mechanic who runs an auto shop with his father: he’s been on the kidney transplant waiting list for years. His health is failing, and his wife is eager to make the most of their time together, but he’s unable to go too far from his dialysis sessions.

He does all he can to keep his garage and his marriage going, despite his long hours of dialysis several times a week and ebbing energy. But when he hires a young man from a remote village to work at the garage, it sets off a chain of events that turn his life upside-down and reveal some unexpected and disturbing things about him.
