Based on a true story the film tells the story of Svend who fights to save his elderly parents' marriage even though it has made his life almost unbearable.
Svend (Coster-Waldau) works as a bouncer at a club in Copenhagen. His g.f., Lizzie (Hjejle), tends bar at the same club, and Svend is notably jealous when customers try to chat her up, often reacting violently. Svend’s elderly parents (Oscarsson, Rita Angela) recently divorced due to the extreme jealousy of Svend’s father, who’s now harassing his ex-wife. Svend tries to help them both, but at the same time his own violent fits start to drive Lizzie away.
