Frank Spencer is more than just a complete klutz. Everything he touches falls apart, and he can't keep a job for more than a day. The only thing that keeps him going is his long-suffering wife Betty, who somehow manages to cope with his disaster-prone life-style.

In 'The Job Interview' Frank manages to get stuck in a lift en route to his latest job interview. 'George's House' sees Frank unimpressed by Betty's brother's gadget-filled house - especially after he manages to break everything. 'Love Thy Neighbour' has Frank use the new neighbour's phone when Betty's mother has one of her turns. 'Have a Break, Take a Husband' finds Frank and Betty embarking on their second honeymoon. In 'The Hospital Visit' Frank has to fend for himself while Betty is in hospital. 'The Psychiatrist' sees Frank attempt to convince himself - and his therapist - that he is not a total failure. Whilst 'The Employment Exchange' has Frank get into trouble with a tea urn and a computer when he starts his new job. In 'Cliffhanger' Frank has a new job and a new car so he decides to go on a picnic on the edge of a cliff. 'The RAF Reunion' has Frank recall his short time in the RAF. 'The Public Relations Course' finds Frank causing havoc when he attends a residential PR course. 'Frank and Marvin' sees Frank practising his ventriloquist act with Marvin the Monkey. 'Father's Clinic' has Frank prepare for his impending fatherhood by taking his nieces rollerskating. And 'The Baby Arrives' finds Frank and Betty rushing to the hospital ready for the arrival of their firstborn. In 'Moving House' Frank turns his hand to DIY. In 'Wendy House' he enrols in a woodwork course to build a doll's house for Jessica. In 'Scottish Dancing' he is called up for a Scottish Dancing exhibition. In 'Men as Women' Frank takes over the role of an ugly sister in the local hospital's production of Cinderella. In 'King of the Road' he gets a new job as a despatch rider. And finally in 'Australia House' Frank and Betty decide to emigrate to Australia but first they have to go for an emigration interview.
