The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975) DVD5
on October 10th, 2015 at 10:59
An amazing adaptation and dramatization of one of the most infamous trials in American History. Lizzie Borden was accused on murdering her parents with an axe in 1893 in late 19th century Massachusetts.
But the evidence is muddled. If Lizzie committed the gruesome crimes, why wasn't any blood found on her clothes or person? How could she have carried out the execution-style killings without any physical evidence left behind?
Just as importantly, what exactly was Lizzie's motivation?
Will she be convicted of the crime? And is she, in fact, guilty?
