Two wonderful places, where man has learned to live in harmony with the environment, are today subjected to the consequences of a change that depends on man himself.
In Thule, Northern Greenland, ice is melting at such a rate that the livelihood and traditions of the proto-Inuit have become jeopardised. Meanwhile, halfway across the world, the island of Tuvalu in the Pacific, is faced with rising sea levels that threaten its inhabitants and their way of life.
ThuleTuvalu is about people from different ends of the earth who are increasingly bound together by global warming – people who are being forced to change the very essence of their existence in order to survive.
Mathias Von Gunten’s stunning documentary humanises climate change and guides us gently to the realisation – that none of us will be left untouched if we don’t do something to stop it.
