Set in the 1950's during the Stalinist era, Bacso's daring film concerns the deportation of Hungarian citizens.

Lucy Sziraky is a pretty, young actress full of ambitions. Her career breaks in half when she is forced to move from the capital to the countryside. Her ex-husband was a count, which is not something to brag about in communist Hungary, so they were forced to leave Budapest.
The other deported aristocrats do not receive her with joy...
