The film goes back to the time of the Annunciation and follows the vicissitudes of the Three Kings on their way to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. The journey is hampered by the evils of prince Olbaid, who with the help of the devil Mauricio warns Herod about the coming of the Messiah.

The film has undeniable historical relevance in cinematography as it is the first animated feature film made in Mexico and Latin America.
