"Serce na dloni" is a story of Konstanty, a businessman and a real oligarch who, probably for the very first time in his life, is confronted with a problem in the face of which he is completely helpless. A serious heart condition is like a death sentence. Only an immediate transplant can save him. Konstanty is taken to hospital to wait for a donor. Not believing that one will be found shortly, spoilt with wealth and convinced that he has full power over his destiny, he decides to take matters into his own hands.
A man called Stefan, humiliated by life (he lost his job and was dumped by his girlfriend), turns out to be the key to the success and a good way out from this dramatic situation. Totally deprived of the will to live, he is an ideal donor of the organ which is so much needed to save the life of somebody else. They are quite opposites and strange fate has it that their meeting is in the best interest of both of them...
