The story follows Sophie Amundsen, a 15 year old Nowegian girl living with her batty mother, as she is in confronted by life's deep, dark questions. "Who are you?" reads a letter, dropped anonymously in her letterbox. "Where does the world come from?" asks another.
The series intertwines reality and supernatural elements, as we meet Alberto Knox, Sophie's mysterious mentor, and journey through the history of philosophy, from Socrates to Plato.
