The Tracker (2002) DVD9
It's 1922, and four men hunt another in the rugged South Australian bush: three of these men are white, of European origin. They are mounted police. The fourth man in the party is an indigenous Australian, an Aboriginal man given the title of The Tracker: he is being asked (forced) to hunt one of his own people, a fugitive, accused of a crime he may or may not have committed.
The pursuit, troubled and inefficient as it is, rapidly becomes secondary to the tension-filled racial dynamic that develops between the savvy, pragmatic, passive-aggressive tracker and the group's trigger-happy leader, who seems to believe that just being black is a crime worthy of capital punishment.
