Bull Weed (George Bancroft, Each Dawn I Die) is a hard-boiled kingpin who rules the Chicago streets with an iron fist and a golden heart. He'll do everything in the world for his girl Feathers (Evelyn Brent, Slightly Scarlet) and his friend Rolls Royce (Clive Brook, Scandal Sheet). Don't cross them, or you'll feel his wrath. When Buck Mulligan (Fred Kohler, Hard Rock Harrigan)hits on Feathers, Weed guns him down in front of a party of gangsters. He must go into hiding or risk his life, and only the devotion of Feathers and Rolls Royce can redeem him.
