The mini-series narrates a hilarious adventurous story of a hometown comeback of a young woman who set upon the path of making her way up in Moscow. She managed to make a successful career and forget her past life, bur her hometown past still looms large over her fortune and prospective marriage. The posh Varvara Yelesina still has a skeleton in her cupboard. It is lawful husband whom she left behind in the hometown that she came to hate. After coming back Varvara discovers that old problems mean for her much more that she comfort of the capital.
